Soap Ingredients

Our soaps share the same recipe, differing only in design and fragrance. Once saponified, these oils and butter combine to form a skin-nourishing soap suitable for all skin types. Below, find the ingredients and their selection rationale.

 

Natural Ingredient	Reason Included
Calendula	Calendula is a flower in the Asteraceae (daisy) family which is thought to be anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. Some research indicates it may also have antioxidant effects.
Olive Oil	Olive oil is high in Oleic Acid and antioxidants. It produces a conditioning lather and gentle cleansing.
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil	Coconut oil is high in Lauric Acid. It's highly cleansing and creates abundant lather. It also adds hardness to the bar of soap.
Unrefined Shea Butter	Shea Butter is high in Oleic Acid and in vitamins A and E. It moisturizes and creates a conditioning lather. Shea Butter also adds hardness to the bar of soap.
Hemp Seed Oil	Hemp Seed Oil is high in Linoleic Acid and in vitamins A and E. It hydrates and produces a conditioning lather.
Castor Oil	Castor Oil is high in Ricinoleic Acid. It's a low-cleansing oil which creates a creamy lather. It's a humectant which helps draw moisture to the skin.

 

 Lip Balm Ingredients

Our lip balm ingredients create a smooth and moisturizing balm with only six ingredients.

Natural Ingredient	Reason Included
Beeswax	Beeswax acts as a wax & consistency factor and thickener & stabilizer.
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil	Coconut Oil acts as a moisturizing agent. It helps to treat dry skin and reduces protein loss.
Organic Sunflower Seed Oil	Sunflower Seed Oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E which makes this ingredient good for hydration and also a potent antioxidant.
Refined Lanolin	Has hydrophobic properties can help protect skin against infections or skin irritation, as it helps seal in moisture that is already present in the skin.
Essential or Flavor Oil	Our Peppermint Lip Balm uses Peppermint essential oil while our other balms have flavor oil.
Vitamin E Oil	Vitamin E is an antioxidant and is protective and repairing in nature. It is an essential fat-soluble vitamin composed of eight naturally occurring compounds. It protects cellular structures against damage from free radicals.

 

 Sugar Scrub Ingredients

Our Sugar Scrub contains a soap base (see soap ingredients) and sugar along with the ingredients below.

Glycerin	Glycerin is a humectant with moisturizing benefits.
Jojoba Oil	Jojoba Oil acts as an emollient and conditioning agent. It is obtained by cold pressing the seeds of simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba). Its structure is very similar in composition to the oils found in the skin. Moreover, it is readily absorbed and is excellent for dry and mature skin.
Hemp Seed Oil	Hemp Seed Oil acts as an antioxidant and anti-aging agent. It is a natural ingredient and can be used for treatment of cracked and dry skin.
Vitamin E Oil	Vitamin E is an antioxidant and is protective and repairing in nature. It is an essential fat-soluble vitamin composed of eight naturally occurring compounds. It protects cellular structures against damage from free radicals.
